- I've got some Agenda information, including reviews of the
included PIM applications (with screenshots) and handwriting recognition,
and software that I've ported to the Agenda, at
http://www.aq.org/~js/agenda/.

- The big complaint about the Agenda is that it's really slow,
especially for task-switching. This is
substantially improved by
the SNOW-based romdisks at
http://www.desertscenes.net/agenda/snow/, and now also available from Agenda Computing. (Basically, this
involves generating shared libraries that aren't position-independent;
they live at a fixed place in the machine's address space.
The MIPS version of GCC generates much better code that way.)
This version of the Agenda OS should operate identically to
what Agenda Computing ships, but you'll need to recompile any
third-party apps to link with the fixed-position libraries.
- Tim Wentford has an ebook reader for the Agenda at
http://www.timwentford.uklinux.net/. Called TWReader, it supports plain text, PalmOS' DOC format
(in
.pdb or
.prc files), and a custom compression format called PPM.
- There are some useful tools at
http://seldon.terminus.sk/~www/agenda/, both for general use and for development. Notable are a port
of
vim (not as important now that recent romdisks include a
vi emulation in BusyBox) and a tiny terminal program called
microcom.
-
Mike Hall has some
useful Agenda tools and ports at
http://www.enteract.com/~mghall/vr3/vr3.html, including
xwd and a handy directory browser. (He's got a
bunch of useful Tcl/Tk stuff as well.)
- Mike Pruett wrote Rdbed, a database editor for the Agenda.
You can find it at
http://rdbed.sourceforge.net/.
- Sean Barnes has a couple of apps (with source) on his site
at
http://sean.a.barnes.home.att.net/agenda/, a scientific calculator and a searchable periodic table of the
elements.
